 Alan
is an experienced trainer/consultant in financial management and project management, providing services to a wide range of
organisations from small businesses to multi-national organisations spanning the private, public and voluntary sectors. He
has provided training throughout the UK, in Europe and more recently the Middle East and Africa.The training is supported by Alan’s previous work with District Councils, Ministry of Defence, Fire and Rescue, Transport and the NHS. Alan also has extensive experience of the private sector and is able to incorporate a commercial approach to the training. Alan has worked as a professional trainer for seventeen years. His strengths lay in his enthusiasm, his ability to work with all levels of personnel across a wide range of finance and planning related issues and to present seemingly complex topics in a practical and easily understood way. This is achieved by the use of a variety of media, case studies and practical exercises. With a background in business analysis and the project management of finance/IT-related projects Alan often incorporates client-specific materials into the training in order to improve the outcomes for in-house courses. Such materials have included the client’s own management or statutory accounts, accounting policies as well as client-specific procedures and controls. Alan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, an approved trainer and member of the Institute of Leadership & Management and is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
