		Derek is a training professional with broad experience in providing training solutions to companies and individuals at all levels. With over twenty years spent in different aspects of training, from apprentices to senior managers, Derek is ideally suited and qualified to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of training programmes. His achievements have included developing and delivering a nationwide four-year training programme for Honeywell Control systems, and managing and teaching on a highly successful Institute of Leadership and Management programme at Certificate and Diploma level. Derek led the development of a government-sponsored retraining programme for the over-50s which saw around 200 people gain new skills for the workplace. He is highly experienced in carrying out training needs analyses for companies, and has done so for Ferrari UK and Chiltern IT, to name but two. Graham Nye, Managing Director of Chiltern IT had this to say: "[Derek] carried out a training needs assessment on every member of staff. In addition to identifying a number of short courses for certain individuals, two staff members stood out as strong candidates for the [academic year] ILM management course. Derek immediately understood our ambitions. We have received personal and attentive service from the start, without feeling pressurised. Our staff has responded positively and I feel that the training provided will be an important component in creating the skills and motivation to realise our ambitions." His qualifications include an Honours degree in Social Policy, a post-graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, and he is fully NEBOSH qualified.
