 Janet Phillips is one of the pioneers in the UK of short export and import
courses which she has run for a variety of organisations for over thirty
years. Her
specialisations include: International Trade and Finance, Export
Documentation and Customs Management and Planning.Janet has worked with many multi-national clients in the UK and overseas as well as in the public sector. These have included many Chambers of Commerce, the major Credit Insurers, Brokers, Credit Agencies and freight forwarders. Within these industries, she has worked at all levels and across a variety of business functions, including international sales and marketing, legal and finance. Within the private sector Janet regularly provides training and consultancy on a range of trade-related topics. Her expertise covers a wide range of trade issues, from finance, insurance and documentation through logistics and specialised Customs matters. This provides a welcome 'one-stop-shop' for the many companies who use her services on a continuing basis to provide in-house programmes for their employees. She is retained by blue-chip companies in a wide range of industries, including the Chemical, Motor, Pharmaceutical and Excise-affected sectors. A recent project involved helping a multi-national car company implement a complex Customs joint venture in Thailand. Her UK companies regularly use Janet's specialised knowledge of Single Market issues when training their parallel counterpart teams in Europe.
